All four eggs have hatched. This season here is really special.
New female, that started visiting our balcony since February 12, laid the first egg on the morning of May 2. The third one 6 May after noon. The fact that there were only three eggs was probably due to a lack of voles. The male most often brings other prey – birds, slow worms, lizards, caterpillars and beetles.
Incubation started relatively late, on 13 May. The female spent almost a whole week after laying the third egg on her perch above the nest.
The fourth (white) egg appeared unexpectedly on 14 May.
Three eggs hatched on June 7 – the first at 12:07, the second at 16:08 and the third at 18:40. The fourth on June 11 at 06:34.
